it gets quarantined, then deleted.
It could have been simply the weight of years of trolling and the many community complaints. That's happened before as well.

Maybe a daughter? I have no clue, just repeating what I read. I don't know what the basis was for that assertion. That's not the reason for the ban of course. As DSP noted, the final straw thread was probably quarantined and deleted.
