People are nasty.

Jul 10, 2020, 9:45 AM

We all know about the masks, pros and cons but this is not about that.

This is about our hands, and what we do with them.

Studies say you subconsiously touch your face on average 16 times an hour.

It seem we don't logically track the route of the virus from a contaminated surface to
our bodies.

The other day I was sitting in my car in the parking lot close to the entrance of a major department store. I observed people coming and going.

At least 75 percent of the people going into the store were on their cell phones.
I noticed absolutely no one cleaning their hands upon exiting the store but rather most were
reaching for or already talking on their cell phones. Cell phone use has to be a major way
this virus is transmitted from a surface, to the hands, to the phone, and then to the face.

If they were not on the phone they were reaching to their face to remove thier masks, all this
before they cleaned their hands. When they reached their vehicle away goes the phone or placed onto their shoulder and out comes the keys, fished out with unclean hands.

They place their purchase into the trunk or backseat and into the car they go, if they cleaned
their hands after they enter the car I don't know but the damage could have already been
done. The phone, keys, door handle, and everything touched in the car could be contaminated.

Keeping hand sanitizer and wipes in the trunk is a good idea. When you exit the store leave
your phone in your pocket or purse, leave you mask on, open the car or trunk, stash your purhase, and then clean your hands and your keys and your cell phone. Then get into your vehicle.

Now without fear you can delightfully pick your nose at the next red light.

Don't forget to empty the ashtray.

just think where all of those fingers have been. Oh wait... that's TOO nasty. I wouldn't think about that at all.

What finger do you pick your nose with?

Agreed. That was a pet peeve of mine even before this da@% virus hit. Why don't they require something useful like desanitizing stations outside every store? People could wash their hands before they go in and when they come out. I guess that just makes too much sense.

Don't forget one of the dirtiest items of all, that money in your wallet. It's possible it has been handled by 15 - 25 people, most of whim did not wash their hands or feet. Even the coins may be covered with untold amounts of contaminants. Sometimes there are advantages to being poor and having no money.

Next time you are in a public restroom standing at a sink washing your hands notice how many dudes walk out without washing their hands. After they flushed the urinal next man up touches the flush handle. We all know where the previous hand has been. Nasty.

I don't do public urinals or shiiters

Don't know how true this is but when this started i was told .. a person was in double line at a burger restaurant. The person beside them was complaining about the people in back should have changed their gloves before they made her meal and rejected it. When the second attempt was delivered, she counted out 11 one dollar bills. She carried her meal to a table and spread it out, each purchase from the wrappers. The guy that had been in line next to her sat down close to her and after she started eating, he pointed out the fact that one dollar bills were put in stripper's g strings. She looked at her meal, then hands and wadded her meal up then left. Never know where that one has been. Go Tigers
