Would we have won the national championship? Imagine David Young and Campbell/Davis in the high low. Imagine us hitting free throws. Game changer.

That was the best worst free throw shooting team ever

Even the guards couldn't shoot. The best FT shooter was Cash at 63%. Everyone else was in the 50's. They would have won the natty if they averaged just 70%.

That assumes the opposing team(s) would have employed the same strategy. I remember game after game where we would go up and then all they had to do was foul us, put us on the line effectively creating a turnover. I feel like opponents strategy would have shifted if we were hitting free throws in the 70% range.

Ellis never could get point guards like he could get big men.

He was great. I would take him over anyone we have had in years. Underrated imo.

I remember some crazy long threes he made.

He had range before it was a thing. Incredible shooter.

He wouldn't have had Dabo to mentor him and help him.

I know some don't want to admit this is true, but there's a lot of truth in this statement. Dabo's always supported Brad, as well as supporting him getting resources.

Yes, indeed. Brad has helped Dabo use the portal and NIL.

Yeah Dabo let's Brad believe that. It's kind of like when we pretend we are beaten in arm wrestling by our children relatives. It's adorable. In this scenario it helps Brad gain confidence and not be scared of the recruits. It has really paid dividends . We are having a great season.

The bigger question is if Cliff Ellis was coaching this year's team would are record be better and would we have lost to the coots?

Do you think the team would have played hard for a coach that was their same age?
