If he thinks he can go into Boulder, Colo. and “put the fear of JESUS” into these losers, he is gonna walk into an empty locker room and Nebraska is going to hang 100 on this joint.

He's already getting players, if the players their leave, is He losing much. Regardless if people like him or not, he's gonna get players and they will be a good football, how good don't know. But this is a brilliant move Colorado. Gonna bring in millions. What do they have to lose. Been doing it the same way for years and always suck.

It’s legal, I understand, make your own decisions. However, trying to get any customer service, rent a car, get sandwich, a beer, anything, from a bunch of stoners is beyond exasperating. If you enjoy slow and wrong, then it probably won’t both you.

He will fail spectacularly. I hope 50 current guys hit the portal. He will find his SWAC team will get SWAC'd in the PAC-12.

after listen to his meeting and interviews.. looks to me like he is applying the Calipari method.
school doesn't matter.. only the NFL. get em in.. use them.. let them bolt for NFL as soon as they can.
Hopefully you will get enough through the revolving door to win

He told the players, and the press - he thinks they should focus on the NFL and not the NIL. He later said, he knows the reality of the NIL importance on getting the right players so he is hitting up the boosters hard it sounds like. Would not be surprised to see him build the program.

I don't expect significant improvement in year 1, but I doubt Colorado's AD does, either. Call him a failure if there's no improvement over the course of 3 or 4 years. Turning the ship takes time. To imply failure if Nebraska "hangs 100" next year is a bit premature.

Deion is a old-school football player. There is no recruit that can question his credentials as a player.
When a team is 1-11, he has a team of losers. If you look at how they were dressed and sitting when Deion introduced himself to the team it made Coach Prime's job of getting fired up pretty easy.
With over 1000 players in the portal, he can find 85 guys that are better than what he has.

1. Colorado been bad so long that most of the players need to be replaced. Most good ones hit the portal last year. 2. Sorry but only half the squad showed up to meet the new coach. 3. Transfer portal makes it possible to get decent. 4. You may not like Coach Prime (I do) but he brought ole school fire in that meeting. Some kids were probably packing up 45 minutes later. 5. Let’s be real…what else can he possibly accomplish at JSU? 6. Guys like Deion expect to be successful and it spreads.

Rick Neuhiesel started out pretty good, but couldn't sustain the success, Chuck Fairbanks, who coached some power house teams at Oklahoma, failed miserably. I don't think he had a single winning year. The only consistent winner they've had was Bill McCartney. McCartneys teams won a National Championship, several Big Eights, in the days when Nebraska and Oklahoma were national powers, a Heisman trophy winner, and played in the more prestigious bowl games. His last year he was 11-1, and beat a very good Notre Dame team in the Fiesta Bowl. As I recall, he resigned at the post game interview, where he said that he was leaving football to answer the higher calling of The Ministry of Jesus Christ. I think you could have heard a pin drop in that room, when he made the announcement. Now that is how I recall it happening. it may have been different, but I do remember the press conference.
Now is Sanders another McCartney? I don't know, but the players seem to love him, and if he makes the right hires, who knows, but yes Colorado can be a winner.

First of all seek first to understand then to be understood. How are you gonna go in day one and tell everyone to transfer and that you have better players ready to replace them before spending 5 dayum minutes learning anything about YOUR players. Short sighted and arrogant. He won at the FCS level by bringing in 3 and 4 star players and having far more talent than his opponents. That ain't gonna happen at Colorado. Talk that noise to USC, Washington, Utah, or Oregon and they're gonna drop 60 on you.

To his announcement to the Nation. His speech to the team was an infomercial to people around the nation that Coach Prime is looking for better players than in that room.

He is doing what the Marine Corps does to their enlisted men and to a greater extent their officers. First he strips their individuality by making them all adhere to the same rules ..... he mentioned no ear rings specifically. Once stripped down, he will begin to build them up as a unit where each player is accountable to himself and fellow teammates. He will also try and get them to quit because quitting is better in practice, or in the case of a Marine, combat, is better than in practice than a game or battle. It works. Can he make it work? Stay tuned!

Or showed an ounce of discipline. I guarantee he isn't the toughest dude in the room. That might work for pat Fitzgerald but coming from prime it's a joke.
All that is irrelevant though what's fact is he doesn't know sheet yet about the guys on his team so everything he said came from a place of ignorance.

He'll use the portal, get enough wins by year 2 to make a bowl, maybe get to 7 - 5 or 8 - 4 the following couple years, say see what I did and head to the SEC on the Aflac jet.

Our coach has taken quite a bit of criticism in the past few weeks, but if I were a football player with your skills, I'd rather play for Coach Dabo Swinney, a hundred times more over than Sanders. All that stuff Deon is spouting may, (or may not), make you an NFL man, but it won't necessarily make you a better man.
