The Don Munson bashing is getting a little old. I realize it's a very small percentage of fans who are complaining, but Don is a Clemson man through and through and deserves more respect than what some are giving.
You're doing fine Don, just keep doing what you do.

I support Don as well within Clemson's sports media relations, but not as the play by play voice of the football program. It's just an opinion, but I feel his strengths lie with feature story interviews and hosting the Tiger Call In shows, which he does really well with. He seems like a great guy, but I personally don't care to listen to his play by play. Nothing personal, but I simply don't like it.

I agree Don is doing fine and the bashing and personal attacks should stop.
I could understand the complaints if Don was doing a poor job but in light of Don's performance it just seems like sour grapes to me. The administration wanted to go in the different direction. Yanity wanted to keep his TV gig and left and Merritt resigned on his own. Time to move on. Go Tigers

the games pretty well. I can tell you right now we are not bringing in an outsider who makes us feel a little better about an on air radio delivery. Having a Clemson guy with access to the team and coaches is the way it's going to be while Dabo is here. If that's what Dabo wants he's #### sure earned the right to get it.

I honestly have never heard him call a football game, other than a play or two here and there, but if you think he does a good job calling baseball games then you don't know what you're supposed to be listening to.
First of all, the back and forth between him and whoever he is calling the game with, the inside jokes, are taken way overboard. I'm all for them telling jokes and having fun during a 3 hour nine inning baseball game, but when it gets in the way of them calling the game is when it gets very annoying.
Second, for an announcer who's been calling baseball games for 10+ years, you would think he would know what a curve ball or a changeup was. He constantly calls a pitch something completely opposite of what it is. A fastball a breaking ball, a breaking ball a fastball, a changeup a curve ball, etc. For listeners who can't watch the game, this paints an inaccurate picture of the game for them. Especially those who really get into baseball, what pitches that are thrown are a big part of the game. And for those watching the game, it just makes him look like an amateur.
Lastly, he constantly misinterprets the situation. It seems like he never knows what's actually going on. This is his worst quality as a baseball play by play man. He gets players names wrong all the time, even Clemson players.
Now I will say I've listened to a lot of other teams baseball play by play men, and there are a lot that are worse than Munson. I'm not saying I don't want him at clemson, but I think he needs to learn the game of baseball and pay attention to the details, as these things are critical when people listen to you on the radio. If he does that he would be excellent.

I just think he sux when listening to him on the radio. I think Clemson can do better. It doesn't mean he's not great in the other roles he plays at Clemson.
