And according to the terms of the settlement, it appears Clemson and Florida State will be able to get much of what they were asking for, without leaving the ACC.

It was untenable to not take action, so it costs what it costs.

To the question....did we have to pay costs of litigation and if so, how much?

Who cares?

The net gain of winning is a multiple of +10X whatever legal fees Clemson incurred.

None.
SAVES money...and will enable us to make much much more in future.... None of this happens w/o lawsuit.

The ACC’s exit fee will start at $165 million in 2026, but drops to a reported $75 million in 2030-31.

The GOR is effectively gone as well. If we were to leave the ACC tomorrow, we would be able to keep all of our media rights right away. That and the reduced exit fee are huge!!! Another Clemson victory over the ACC. Go Tigers!!!

$2.04 million is the legal fees that Clemson has paid. Money well spent for what we got in return.

Clemson's legal fees were just over $2million, but the settlement makes that well worth it. Revenue sharing adjusted along with keeping the media rights and the significant lowering of exit fees makes that money well spent!

Bargain! It was reported it only costs Clemson 2 million but the benefits it gained are priceless. Unequal Revenue sharing and getting rid of the GOR and dropping that impossible exit fee to 75 million in 2030.

Well, at least we know the exit fee by year - and how much it will cost for our “Ticket to Ride”.

It says that the agreement would keep Clemson and FSU from leaving at least for a few years. I think that all the settlement does is give FSU and Clemson a little more money (but not tnough to stay competitive with P2) while they wait on the nod from SEC or B1G saying, "How soon can you get here? We're ready."

It may be 2030, but it won't be that long because the buyout is too big. Either school would pay the fee and leave tomorrow if they could get into P2.
