hate ND and Alabama because that was all that was ever shown on TV in 60s and 70s, but I'm kinda pulling for ND in this one. I think their coach is a pretty good person and seems very humble. It's gonna end up being OSU though... Uggh

I didn't watch the game as a protest against two of my top 5 hated teams.

I respected JoePa almost as much as any college football coach in history until I was convinced that he knew Sandusky and others were abusing children.

This old guy (72) has never disliked Notre Dame and I understand that college football all over the country benefits from teams like Notre Dame doing well.

every parish in the land was a recruiting tool. I actually loved Bama back in the 60's and I was Tennessee born. The Bear was a fascinating character and he was a southern hero for battling ND.
Now it's even harder to disrespect Bama and the Bear since the impact he had on Clemson's history. Danny Ford was a twig from the Bama Bear tree and Dabo, the best who ever coached a football team in any league is Bama born and bred.
I only hate Alabama when they are on the other side of the line from us.

Could not have said it better myself ClemsonTiger1988®. I pulled for Bama when I was a kid in the 60s and early 70s because they and GA were the only 2 teams from the south you got to see on tv much. All the other teams were Midwest (ND, Nebraska, Ohio State, Penn St, Michigan, etc ) or far west (USC, UCLA). Didn’t like GA so I became a big fan of the Bear and Bama. That all changed when I attended Clemson but as a kid that’s where I stood.

Domer fans were patzers at the 2018 Cotton Bowl and reeked of beer and sausage.
Hook 'Em Horns.
If the Horns lose, tho, I'll will pull for Freeman over Day, who also is a patzer and looks like he reeks of beer and sausage.

loss in Phoenix, their fans were some of the most respectful I have encountered after the game. I guess that is what a long pedigree will do for you.....They appreciated a hard fought game. They were the same in Tampa and San Francisco.
