In my defense he's one of the rare QBs that when is described as dazzling some assume it means running. 😁

Woody Dantzler was a far better runner than Homer Jordan. Not taking anything away from HJ , watched them both play and I make the assertion confidently.
Woodrow was one of the best running QBs in NCAA history. Dude was incredible.
I'd put him up there with names like Vick & Young as far as his escapability , and his penchant for turning busted pass plays into huge gains or touchdowns.

I think this may speak for Woodrow's running ability historically:
The first NCAA quarterback to achieve the feat of passing for over 2,000 yards and rushing for over 1,000 yards in a single season was Woodrow Dantzler of Clemson University. To each their own, but I used to refer to Woody as "THE most electrifying man in CFB" If you get The Rock reference. Fact is him running with the ball was a thing of beauty for us while scaring every DC EXCEPT Mickie Andrews (FSU) to death. He made Chuck Amato a believer for sure. Imo the only one close was Vick but Woody did 2K/1K first. How he wasnt invited to a Heisman ceremony IS STILL a travesty imo, to me bigger then CJs snub. That Smurf turf game was a heck of a farewell and he is still probably my 2nd favorite Tiger QB after DW4. Go Tigers.

It was good to get back to a bowl game.

That was a great bowl trip. My first and only Clemson game that I attended when it snowed. Really enjoyed my trip to Boise.

I remember that game. Lots of fireworks for the Tigers in the 3rd quarter.
This was when players didn't opt out of Bowl Games.
The bowl season was a time to get as much football in as you could.
