Was here when Corbin was here. Hopefully he gets this title over Tennessee. But this just goes to show how legendary of a coach Jack Leggett was, and that our baseball program is elite and has always has been.

All of the good Leggett accomplished while at Clemson. One hill that I’ll die on is that of it was any other team not named chickens Leggett would never have been fired.

It’s a little like Dabo and his goals, win the final but it’s still a great season. Championships are not easy and many hall of fame coaches don’t have one on their resume. Mike Martin comes to mind at FSU.

It sucks we don’t have a title, but the animosity over Leggett is ridiculous. I’ll also swear that we would have had a good shot winning it all in Monte’s first year had Leggett stayed. We lost several Leggett legacy recruits and even Lee won the ACC with them. He was handcuffed too by being so behind in the facilities race. He never had a chance to recruitwith anything. Lose to our current facilities.

4-5 years after his last trip to Omaha and a final four and we fired someone who was extremely consistent. A decade and a half latter we have barely sniffed Omaha once or twice since.

Basketball has made it to the final 8 twice in history and 3-4 sweet 16’s, zero final fours. Leggett made final four twice and the final eight six times and like 10-11 sweet 16’s.

Dabo has engineered an amazing run and Clemson fans bellyache about how far we’ve fallen on the football field. The grass is not always greener.
