And we have been a part of that "enept" conference for 60 years with every chance to prove otherwise.

we could stay in this conference another 60 years, but times have changed. Things may come to those who wait, but only the things left by those who hustle.

Lets just hope we don't make the same mistakes Rice made. Only time will tell depending on what decisions are made.

Rice followed private schools to the WAC (TCU, SMU, and Houston). A very big difference from staying in a conference with just about every major state university on the East coast (every major state school in NC, VA, and MD)

Rice could have made different decisions. They obviously didn't have the vision to be a football power.

Nothing about this decision is similar to that of Rice's.
We are fine in the ACC and would likely be fine in the Big XII. The issues are to the fans, students, and alumni. I'm sure students just love the thought of watching the AD leave association with schools their friends and family are associated with to bring in more money a thousand miles away all while continuing to raise tuition.

You said history has a way of repeating itself. I was supporting your post, so it could be related if we look back on this time in 20 years and our stadium looks like theirs does.
Anyways, we both know this is about money. If the BOT thinks the money is significant and will give us competitive advantage compared to where we are in the ACC then we will move. If not then we will stay. My stance is we should move, but that's based on the info I've seen. I'm sure the BOT has better, accurate information and will make the right call.
