NIL and transfer portal stinks. I really hate what has happened to the collegiate sport.

It’s really not that bad. Most kids who don’t start and are deep on the depth chart transfer. This just isn’t a Clemson problem. The only thing is we need to use the portal. I suspect that we not only use the portal but I wouldn’t be surprised to see 4 or 5 players come in from the portal.

I'll guess three. All want more playing time which will deter some that would be interested in us.

more NIL than portal...
Would be a great stat to see how many are in the portal and how many get picked up... if I am not mistaken alot of these kids leave themselves stranded in the portal...

I think that the current number is 50% of portal entries are hung out to dry. Sadly, most of these kids are too stupid to understand the monetary value of obtaining a totally free college degree. The vast majority have a better chance of getting struck by lightning than making it to the NFL.

we haven't (or were so slow to) evolved to accept and utilize it to our advantage.
based on the "we need to talk video" at the game......we've started w/ NIL
now Dabo needs to get on board with using the portal.

in life, you have to learn and adapt. The rules will be tweaked to make the system better. Coach Swinney is an outstanding manager and leader. He will figure how to use the system to make his team one of the 4 best.
I still love college football. This is a small bump in the road.

All star players if you think about should enter the portal. Make millions now or just hope you make to the nfl. If DJ got paid big money the last 2 years that great but I bet there was one kid on the field Saturday night enter the portal and have a very good payday.

Actually is the targeting rule that is ruining the game.
If the NCAA would simply provide for a non-ejection penalty for non flgrant or incidental hits, and give some consideration for contact when the offensive player initiates the helmet to helmet or the defensive player otherwise is not under his own control, all the rest of this stuff would not seem so bad.

It is certainly leveling the playing field. Coots could not have beaten our second units without the portal and nil deals.

Southern Cal won 4 games last year but with their new HC from Oklahoma he stripped Oklahoma of its best players. Could not have done that without Nil and transfer portal. They almost bought a playoff spot. What is fair honest and good about those rules? With these rules if you have no integrity and scruples you can go and buy you a national character. I’m losing my interest quick just as I have with pro
sports and even college BB. Wished it were not so. Too much for a 75 year old guy to handle.
