I am confused by Boom's Recooting

All we hear from the coots is how Spurrier had mailed it in and was not focused on recooting and that Boom is going to change all that, never mind that he did very little with the players he landed at UF. How did USC end up so devoid of talent? They signed classes ranked no worse than 20th by 24/7 over the last 5 years with an average class ranking of 17.4. I don't see what they are so excited about, this will be their worst class in more than a decade.

Spurrier Jr was in charge of recruiting and was extremely lazy. Not only with recruiting, but evaluations as well. Lance Thompson, Bryan McClendon and Travaris Thmopson are 3 of the best recruiters and evaluators in the country. (Literally the top 3 according to 247 sports). They like this class a lot. So, I suppose they are hitting their needs the way they wanted. Barton Simmons wrote this week spurrier Jr. was just signing guys to fill their class. Pretty pitiful.

I wouldn't go so far as to say they have no talent, but it's certainly not abundant.

Jr wasn't the only one messing up the evaluations, so were the recruiting services then. The classes are based on who signed, those that decooted would be reflected in the class rankings. My point is that the recooting, all though not great, was not bad enough to produce a 3-9 season. What that tells me is that the problem was deeper than recooting and it will take more than just recooting to fix it. I don't think you fix it with a UF reject.

has failed miserably to get those sec 5th place rings (that usuc fans are so proud of,btw) that the usuc nation (township ?) will say all those top 3 recruiters have gotten lazy, too ?

...on the Coots, and when that 6th finger goes up, I'd like to see a campaign to billboard I-26 from Charleston to Cola and I-20 from Myrtle Beach to Augusta with the nastiest "6" that can be publicly printed.

Most of SCs issues defensively came from putrid coaching. John Hoke made Kevin Steele look like Vince Lombardi.
