French's Mustard-not just 4 throwing at Lane Kiffin anymore

Last week at a HS football game I noticed bottles of French's mustard beside the water coolers on the training table at the sideline. When I asked the trainer why this week I was surprised why this was. Apparently is believed to help with cramps when you take some of it by mouth. They added these because getting it on plated from the big gallon pump tubs and putting it on plates wasn't sanitary. I'm just the messenger here folks.

I was visiting my brother in the hospital one time when I heard a nurse tell my brother to do that. In fact she brought him some packs of mustard and he ate it. Cramps were gone almost immediately

When I still worked in the hospital I frequently had patients ask for a packet when they got a cramp and swore by it. I've never tried it myself. The only time I get them is occasionally in my sleep I will get a leg cramp and the refrigerator is far enough away that it would be gone on its own by the time I got there. Now the soreness afterwards wouldn't though

This is a well know remedy for cramps that has been used for years. It sounds weird but it works. Only yellow mustard works so don't start downing your fancy mustard.

I would hope that by the time I wake up with a painful knot in my calf, stumble downstairs, open the fridge and grab the bottle of French's Mustard (which I do have and which tastes exactly the same as the Harris Teeter brand for 3 times the cost) my cramp would be gone.

Upper thigh leg cramps in a dead sleep are the worst. Jumped out of bed many nights and had to walk it off.
