Forget 3rd down conversions. It is the routine going for...

it on 4th down that ofetn keeps the chains moving for TECH. hard to stop someone from getting 10 yards when they utilize all 4 downs. Clemson must make them pay for that philosophy and turn them over on downs when they go for it.

Ga Tech is 9 for 12 on 4th down conversions. They are 8th in nation in success %. But, they are tied for 71st in the country in 4th down attempts. Guess who also has 12 attempts this year? Yep, Clemson.
12 attempts in 10 games is not that many. So, I don't think 4th down conversions will play much of a factor.

My high school won a state title basically never punting ...

... the strategy of (almost) always going on 4th down is a calculated risk, but I agree that if you have faith in your running game it can be very discouraging to a defense to stop you with 3rd and 2 and know that your going to line up and probably get those 2 yards on 4th down every time until you score.
This is what Paul Johnson does ... particularly to lesser defenses.
Fortunately for us, our defense is good enough not to leave them with 3rd and 2 if we play our game.
3rd and 6 is a lot difference proposition ...

I hear ya...mike Patrick always sounds like he's had about 5 too many drinks....and ed Cunningham is constantly sticking his foot in his mouth. Not my favorite announcers.

They are right up there with the "Un-Holy Trinity" of Palmer, Polluck, and Davis. Ugh.

Let's correctly call our Oline and Special Teams what they are , terrible. Neither have improved in three years and the Oline maybe the worst one since 2008.

I thought your OLine was supposed to be one of scar's greater assets. One of the best in the SEC they say.

It has been quite obvious for some time that you cannot point out Dabos obvious failures.

GT's D-line is really thin and now starting DT Shawn Green is out. I see no reason why we shouldn't be able to run the football and get this offense firing on all cylinders tomorrow.

Defense will give up some points, but WELCOME BACK DW! Just in time, because you can't beat Tech with just defense! Mike Williams celebrates DW's return with 3 TD catches.

Defense will take care of business but will need help and cannot be on field the whole game.
