I a sorry

Jan 24, 2013, 1:07 AM

but after watching replay of CFB I just cant help rolling in the floor at ESecpn and Lou saying how LSU would be disinterested in their bowl appearance!
I have never seen so many disinterested players laying on the turf with their tongues hanging out. Just love it.
There was only one Tiger roaring that I saw and it wasn't Tony or the Bayou begal.

The announcers, fans...whomever, can speak about

Jan 24, 2013, 5:46 AM

"disinterest" all they want; however, I contend that it is the direct responsibility of the HC to make certain that such does not exist...regardless of the team, including Clemson. And, frankly, were I an AD, I would call into question the leadership of any HC who allowed himself, his staff and/or team to use it as an excuse for performance.

The facts are simple: in that one game...Clemson VS LSU, LSU was outcoached and outplayed by Clemson...period.

Clemson won thanks to pretty stupid play calling by Miles on LSU's last possession. I am a Clemson Tiger thru and thru, but, fax is fax!!

LOL....Yeah, that helped, too. Yet, considering how badly

Jan 24, 2013, 6:23 AM

most "experts" thought we would perform, the fact that we hung in there and produced the win made me believe that our team was coached up to its potential and performed. Regardless, to achieve the win I credit Dabo and Co. with outcoaching Miles and Co...and our team for outplaying LSU.

By the way, hope you're progressing well from the surgery. Saw DMT in Columbia yesterday.

Because of Les's play calling! All you hear from everybody and all the analyst. Which are the same ones that blasted the broncos for not throwing the ball to get the first down against the Ravens. All the pro's that know everything about football but yet know nothing. LSU only had a couple good rushes the entire game. We spotted them 10 points and still beat them. Easy to second guess play calling from the couch I guess

Morn, Les good to see you up and around!
As to speculation on why Clemson won the game, I stay away from that and generally find that the team won the game because, not counting golf, they had at least one more point on the board than the competition.
Had the pass been completed, he would have been announced and praised as the Mad Hatter again because Clemson was jammed in tight waiting on the run!
By the way your brother there states he doesn't go get his ticker checked on because he would have to give up ONE vice. That is not a good reason. The truth is he, like me, would have to give up 3 or 4 vices!! :)

Only reason LSU had the lead to begin with was because

of our two costly turnovers.

Yep. I think our run defense dictated Miles' play calling, too. Even with 2nd and 2, I think he was afraid to run it, thinking he'd lose yardage and then be forced to throw on 3rd down.

The definition of awesome!

Nope. You can say LSU lost if you're a delusional SEC fan...

Jan 24, 2013, 9:11 AM [ in reply to Re: The announcers, fans...whomever, can speak about ]

but a real Clemson fan would say the fourth quarter onslaught of offense and defense won that game for us. The coaches put the boys in the right position to win and the boys drove the stake in the hearts of LSU and the rest of the SEC/ESPiN crew as well.

Les hadn't seen but one yard of offense during the entire 4th quarter and had good reason to abandon his game plan of running over a weak over rated ACC team.

We'd stopped them 8 times on third down conversion attempts most of which were runs. They had no reason to think they could get ten yard running believing that Clemson was focused on preventing the run. Rightly so.

Had the second down pass attempt not been thrown over a wide open receiver's head due to one of our linemen blocking the passing lane or the third down attempt to another wide open receiver not been knocked down they would have gotten a first down and run the clock out.

Clemson's D stopped them on three downs and our O drove the ball down their throats for an easy score.

The bottom line is the final score.

Shame on you for saying we didn't win, LSU lost.
