Most are picking Clemson to have a stellar year; but what has gotten everyone over the lack of run defense?
Citadel, Louisville, sc, TX; ran at will. Lots of hype about the offensive side, but it’s hard to score from the sideline.
*****Yes, I’m still sour about losing to sc 2 out of 3 at home.

I believe the talent is there on the defensive side. The scheme and mentality (culture?) on the defensive side was not there. I believe Boulware and Allen will bring an edge back to the front seven. Allen's playcalling should be much better than Goodwin. Not claiming he'll be Venables 2.0, but we can't go anywhere but up in the run defense category.

I agree with you here. I also think that Barrett Carter, while possessing amazing talent, frequently found himself out of position and some of that goes back to coaching. I believe Boulware and Tom Allan, as you do, we are going to be a stabilizing force, and much more demanding as educators and motivators

I saw a sneak preview article on our upcoming game that broke down position groups for each side. Surprisingly, our Tigers were given the edge on both lines of scrimmage.
LSU will have talent, as they always do. I suspect Clemson will have their act together better than LSU will since they will be infusing more transfers.
I like our chances.

Even their coaches know until they get hit in the mouth by our defense.

Hopefully we won't sit outlr fastest LB for the entire fourth quarter against SC this season. That would be a nice start.

We will soon find out.
LSU typically has excellent RBs
While I am excited to see Gideon Davidson take the field against LSU , they in turn signed the top tailback in the class.
If they struggled running the ball last year , they might also throw a freshman RB out there that is significantly more talented than what they have returning.
As good as they expect Nussmeier to be , it's worth noting they also added the top QB in the same class.

They have a badsss running back Durham that ran all over SC’s defense this past season as a true freshman, so i would say they’re good at RB.
