sure I like what that is. [It's not my place to like him or not: we're just talking football here.] I think of Dexter Manly, the test case that caused so much needed change in the NCAA academic requirements. Schools were openly charged with "exploiting" athletes by every media outlet, and Manly became the face of that accusation. And maybe they were right. Manly was illiterate due to dyslexia, but was promoted on through college (OK State) until his eligibility was up. If today's standards were in place then, Manly might not even get a chance to play, and he would not be a wealthy man today. Nevertheless, the charge had some merit and the changes were needed.
But can someone explain to me how it is that keeping Manly in school and giving him a chance to earn a living is exploitive, but what Sanders just did is not? Haven't heard that word used once, but a system that allows that is clearly exploitive. We'll see what the blowback is, if any, but no one seems ready to criticize much. Regarding history, media are the dyslexic ones, at least as of now.

Yep. I remember his antics on our field along time ago. Other than that, I’m ok with him. Truth be told, he was a great athlete.

As a Head Coach. He made it as a HBCU coach but let’s see what he does with the big names in the business. He’s a Shane Beamer if you ask me.

a team that has been illegitimate for about 20-30 years now. Since the Cordell Stewart days. So if you're judging his success based off of CFP appearances then you're kidding yourself. But in an of itself, the hire, was the best thing that Colorado has done in 30 years. They already have better players than they've had in decades.

A fraud in what way?

Dude seems pretty open. Wins are what matters these days.
If he fails at CU then call him a fraud as a coach since Wins are the number one thing we use to judge coaches. So far I see nothing fraudulent. Some might say he is acting like a d1ck by kicking current players to the portal, but he was saying GTFO since he took the job.
Now if you think that the number one thing for a coach is to teach men to stay the course and battle adversity then I can see you calling him a fraud as as a coach.
But they is becoming antiquated views. Hate it as much as you do - but imho Deion ain’t no fraud.
And no, Deion is NOT the player who ran the puntrooskie.

The tone was not "i'm getting rid of you because you're not good enough." The tone was "the lollygagging and being content with being losers is over. And if you're not good with that then i've got plenty that are ready to take your job."
It was a challenge to their manhood and work ethic. Also it was a challenge to the athletic department that its not about to be the same atmosphere.
But if you buy the media spin it was that he was saying he was going to willy-nilly start kicking players to the curb.
And as a side note, at this point if you're still buying media spin then man I feel really bad for you in terms of the surprise of what's on the horizon in the coming years. Don't take media pundits at face value. Do the digging.

Your grammar is awful. Embarrassing on a site dedicated to an institution of higher learning. Makes Clemson look like a collection of redneck grammar school dropouts.

Deion will bolt for one of the southern schools soon. The cold weather out there, he doesn’t like.

I think it depends. If the kids were doing everything that was asked I feel like their scholarships should be honored. If they weren't then yes they should be asked to leave. He is a national brand already so I'm not sure if he is worried about ticking off Colorado H.S. coaches.

He did win the conference twice but really underachieved with the talent he had. So he is very Mark Richt-like thus far.

I don't think he's a fraud. He is what he is and because he self promotes and loves attention, everyone can see what he is up to. The players that are already there at Colorado, I feel for. They didn't sign up for the Deion Sanders circus but they have to now deal with it. HS recruits starting this year know exactly what they are getting into if they go to Colorado. Good and bad. HS Coaches the same thing.
