I save them for my witch sister-in-law to hold them while flying across the top of wheat fields. The stems act as a brush. Plus, it's a positive action for a less-than-positive individual.

(except the cast iron skillet, a few other cooking pots/pan and sharp knives) go into the dishwasher.
I don't mind loading the dishwasher. But, I HATE to unload it. And, dishwasher-unloading fairies are not sold on Amazon.com or other fine retailers. (Although I hear Target may offer them with their Pride merchandise during the June pandering month.)

Chlorine helps kill nasty bugs. So just frisbee the plates into the deep end and by the time they reach bottom they is spotless.

Either use paper plates or rinse them immediately after eating. Rinsing usually helps a lot.
