How do you get more fans for bball on a Tuesday at 7 or 9pm

Just curious on ideas as part of what makes football bring fans is it’s on Saturdays (no work the next day for most and church is at 11), it’s only 7 times a year, and there is plenty of time to tailgate.

My thoughts (what say you):

“Party” buses from Greenville to Clemson and back

Students get any unfilled seats as of the under 12 timeout in the first half

Students in attendance get put in a raffle for free stuff (maybe jerseys or shoes) or even just papa John’s coupons.

Tailgate town set up on the lawn partnering with local restaurants and beer vendors similar to downtown alive in Greenville.

Put a better product on the court.***

You are a hater Drumster because your point of a better product is just off base. I think we were 14-1 at home this year so that can be compared to any school's record.

I was just taking a guess.

What is a drumster? I kinda like that word.

Huge difference between 7 football Saturdays and 10 or so mid week basketball games, some against teams nobody cares about seeing. Attendance has to start with the students and Clemson needs to do a better job getting students to attend.

How about the first 5 rows from the free throw line around the baseline to the other side free throw line on both ends are student sections? That way the “big donors” get to still sit down in the middle of the court or not even attend like they do now.

There's a big difference between getting off work at 5 on Friday and trying to get to Clemson by 9 - 11 am Sat or getting off work at 5 pm Tuesday and trying to get to Clemson by 6- 8 pm Tuesday.

That being said, we had season tickets for the 2015-16 season when we played in Greenville. The arena was always respectably full with the much larger population base. It would be nice if we could play a game or two in Greenville every year.

Not bad ideas, and they may help, but this is no mystery.

Hard to imagine for younger fans, but even Clemson football suffers when the team is not producing at a high level. Football attendence suffered greatly during Frank Howard's last years, Hootie Ingram's terrible stint here, the under Ken Hatfield and Tommy West. It was a very real issue, directly tied to on-field performance. Same with basketball. Get a big name or successful young up-and-comer of a coach, then bring in a couple of high profile 4 or 5-star recruits, then win some big games, and watch what happens with the interest and excitement surrounding the program, and subsequent attendence.

we can seat about 10% of our DV football crowd at LJ hoops so if a number of friends shared a season package they could divide it out and seats be used every time. lack of attendance isn't our only problem but better wouldn't hurt.

Win some games first. If you build it they will come.

Littlejohn attendance showed marked increases during the Barnes and OP eras, but has been on a pretty steady downward trend in CBB era.
