A month ago you said you were going cold turkey on the political spats. I said I was going to take your advice and do the same. You asked me to report back. Well, glad I did it too. I didn’t post a ton but still it was enough that the negative energy was not good. I asked myself “what the heck are you doing with this negative crap”? Anyway, it’s all good on my end. I know some people enjoy and seem to thrive on that stuff. Just look at the post count for some of them. It’s not for me. The sky is blue , the mountain trails are calling, living life! Have a great day.

I was out west in late April and was pretty much unplugged from the internet, TV, radio and didn't discuss the outside world with others.

Trying to go once a week. Wife and I set a goal to hike 10 miles a month for the year. Only trails count, no streets, etc. That’s not many miles but that’s not really the point. The point is consistency and sharing a hobby together. We do more than 10 but that’s our minimum goal. Again, it’s not a lot but it is a commitment. I also set a running mileage goal for the year and so far I’m right on schedule with that. Hope you are well too.

Exactly. I’m a very slow hiker! Not because I have to be , as I said I’m an avid runner. But when I hike I want to look at everything! If someone is a fast hiker I will drive them nuts looking at every plant, tree, etc. It’s a tremendous stress relief. I’ve never met an angry hiker on a trail.
