i’m still undecided if I like this new playoff Format or not. But just wondering now that we lost If anyone else is feeling a little bit bittersweet About Season and New Year’s time with no bowl game to look forward to. I’m sure had We won we would be fine with it.. but now the consequence of losing kind of sucks putting an early end to the season.

no, I definitely agree. 100%…. I’m just saying it’s kind of a bummer once Christmas is over. You still typically have the bowl game to look forward to I guess the extension of the season lol .. If we’re gonna stay in this format, then absolutely I’ll take the chance

I feel the same way. I love bowl games and the build up to my team's game. Traditionalist in me liked the old bowl games and a championship determined by AP and coaches poll. We will never go back, but those were the good ole days!!

all on the field shooting for the stars. As a fan I'd take this scenario any day of the week vs gearing up to half watch an Orange Bowl vs some team who has half their starters playing and doing so in front of a half empty stadium.

That was better than almost any bowl. CFP games are unique and have more hoopla and enjoyment for the players than a regular bowl. I guarantee you not a single kid who played in the CFP is saying “Man, I wish we got to play in a bowl instead of the playoff!” Let’s see, Duke’s Mayo Bowl with a small gift or CFP? No brainer. Come on, man!

Maybe in the old days where bowl games were big events

But the last few years they’ve been pretty stale. I hardly ever hear anyone talk about our games against Iowa State, Tennessee or Kentucky. They are the most forgotten games in recent years

agree with all of these viewpoints, I’m not necessarily arguing playoff versus meaningless bowl game. I’m more or less just saying it’s always fine to have one more game to look forward to after Christmas and getting to watch a team play. Can’t push the playoffs #### February before the natty lol…

That's another good reason not to #### up and lose to South Carolina, so we could get a first round bye and solve that problem.

Will take playoffs over Bowl game every time. Bowl games are starting to become "a winter game before the spring game".

Absolutely rather go playoff. You could have 3-4 games instead of 1.

I’ll take making the CFP any day over a bowl.
I wish we could have advanced in the playoffs but we weren’t playing at that level this year.

We just got roped & Lasso’ed in Texas by a new system of best team getting home field & fan advantage but the Clemson Tiger Team embraced it and gave their best.

I agree halfway LBB.I believe the offense gave it 110% but our defense, because of a DC that needs to be replaced, wasn't put in the right formations to stop the bleeding.WG and the LB coach definitely need to go and maybe some more. We have too much talent on defense to not put them in the right position to succeed.

That is a #### bowl. What are you even talking about? What just because it doesn’t have a sponsor and some ridiculous name attached it’s not the same as a real bowl game? GTFO.

At least no players “opted out “ of a playoff game. I would rather go to a big time game, which we did, than the Humanitarian Bowl anyday.

I would have rather gone to a nice bowl and still have something to look forward to. Instead we got beat easily by Texas and don’t get to practice anymore. Not to mention we end the season with a big fat L!

This team lost to every team with a pulse. ( southern Methodist was vastly overrated). 4 losses. Glad the season is over . We pay the second highest coaching salaries in the country. We are not even close to be a top 2 team. Shame on the administration bankrupting the program with excessive coaching pay for a nothing special product. Now they want more donations

I took my daughter to the gator bowl last year and was fun beating Kentucky the way we did. But with the opt outs and lack of crowd with the nature of the game, being in the playoff much better experience for the team and the fans I think.
