Danny Ford and the # 23?

Dec 12, 2016, 6:31 AM

Danny all ways wore a wind breaker with the # 23 on the sleeve. What is the significance of # 23? Does anyone know? Thanks, Sam

I may be wrong, but I thought before taking the field one game he didn't have his and just grabbed one of the player's jackets. Guess he just kept wearing it.

Became Danny Lee's good luck outfit ... no doubt stained with some Taylor's Pride game day chew.

You are correct....

They won that game and I guess he believed it gave them good luck so he kept wearing it.

This^^^^^^

I asked him that very question while luckily eating a late lunch with him at Mac's back in 2004.

There was only one other person sitting at the counter.........Danny walks in, sits down beside me, and starts talking to me like he'd known me for years. He's quite a character, to say the least.

Jim Carrey was in the movie "The Number 23", and this made me think of that. In the movie, 23 was considered as unlucky (2 divided by 3 is .666), so 23 is a weird number to me. Michael Jordan wore #23 so it might not be unlucky at all. When I went to close on my house, they informed me my lot was #23. Made me a little nervous. I'm thinking the movie had it wrong. :)

It's my favorite number . I wore it playing JV football .
It's also my birthdate . June 23 , 1969 .
23 × 3 = 69 . Number of each parental chromosome contribution . It's a great Psalm as well .

It must have been known to quite a few at the time.

I have in my possession a Clemson print that was given to Danny by the artist himself. Next to the artist's proof on the bottom right ... "23 of 50".

I'm getting a little freaked out by all the #23 talk

Dec 12, 2016, 8:23 AM

I have a signed picture on my wall of Danny from a Clemson/USucK game. Clemson won, of course... the date of the game... NOVEMBER 23, 1985.

Clemson won 24 to 17... 24 plus 17 = 41

41 + today's day (12) = 53

53 minus the number of days (30) in November (the month the game was played) = 23

Seriously...###... this is freaking me out!!!!!!

Take your age
Multiple by 2
add 46
divide by 2
subtract your age

What do you get?
