Starting Wide Receivers

Just wanting to hear what anyone's thought on who will be the third starting wide receiver, assuming that both Mike Williams and Artavis Scott start. My guess btw is Peake but could also be argued for Hopper, Thompson, McCloud and Deon Cain.

I would think that it would be Peake if he is healthy.

Ready for a big year...maybe not numbers-wise, but he will have a huge impact. Fast with great hands, I think he will be like a Jaron Brown 2.0

I think Peake will be our best wide receiver this year. Scott second, Williams third. I'm really looking forward to seeing Peake in his first completely healthy spring game.

That's a crazy thought...

To think we have 3 WR's on our team of that caliber. We're so stacked at WR. Mike Williams would be the #1 receiver on 85% of college D1 teams, and to think he may be our 3rd best.... crazy.

A healthy C Peake is just as dangerous as Mike Williams

In limited action last year, Peake make some spectacular catches including the TD catch in Athens from DW, and a fantastic catch against FSU on a key 3rd down if im not mistaken.

How could you argue for the other guys at this point?

Hopper rarely makes the catch and the others have never played college ball.

It all starts with Scott and Williams

But to be honest, I am as excited about WR this year. As I was when we had Hopkins and Watkins. From my guess, you gotta know it starts with Mike Williams and A. Scott. But I feel the coaches want to give Peake a shot at getting his career going again. But personally, I think he will have to play well, and very SOON. I like Trevion Thompson. I think he is a star in the making, and there is no doubt he will push Charone Peake. Especially if he's not playing well early. As for Hopper, Honestly. I don't see where he fits into the mix. Especially with all the talent at receiver this year.
Now, the key factors.... yep, Cain and McCloud. How long can you keep the ball out of the young guys hands.
All in ALL...we're set at receiver. A better question might be... what does the O-line look like?

why do you make it seem like Peake may be playing poorly? I'm not sure I've ever seen Peake play poorly. The only thing that's ever kept him off the field is injury, not poor play.
