How can you be aggressive on defense when you know

Your offense isn’t going to be able to bail you out if you make one mistake?? The thing about BVs defenses they knew Deshaun or Trevor could bail them out if they got torched. Bringing absolute pressure can either get a sack/TFL or leave someone wide open running to the house. Football is way more complex then just SEND THEM ALL EVERY DOWN. I think Wes lacks fire and the ability to discipline but to follow BV he’s done a jam up job with what he’s had to work with.

I think he’s made great adjustments but I also don’t think he’s been given a fair shake either. He’s basically been asked to be perfect in every game for a chance to compete. On top of that everyone else believes that BV called shutouts nonstop

You are onto something. The defenses of the past while Tajh, Deshaun, Trevor, all had something in common....any mistakes made on defense were usually quickly answered by a steady offense that could move the ball at will most of the time.

That last possession of the game was very lackluster. Hard to watch some would say. 4 minutes is eternity for some previous teams, too much maybe....but this year, made mid-field with under a minute left and just looked so very slow, every yard so difficult. Nobody open downfield or Cade missed them if they were.

Yep and the defense is also playing tighter then ever resulting in the occasional long TDs. For three years almost every game we’ve played as been directly on their shoulders.

Sadly you won't see this because you still have me on mute. But anyway, like your posts and spot on with your D assessment.

I'm kinda glad pride got left on an island with a stud wr. It's a beautiful teaching experience that will pay dividends for the whole team. I have high hopes that he'll be a great one b4 he leaves.

At this point, let Wes get aggressive. I'm more about building for the future than just trying to win a game... coot game withstanding.

Heck we almost have to. If we don’t create points on defense we have no chance. Syracuse game is a good example. I get what you’re saying but the defense is the only functioning unit we field. Might as well try and generate as much as we can through them.
