I agree. For all the supposed hate, I didn't think they would let us anywhere near 12.

If you get outside the orange bubble, most casual observers simply think the Coots have played a better schedule and performed pretty well. I don't think hate has much to do with it. I live in the West and this is the perspective I see.

We lost to Louisville and needed a miracle to beat Pitt.
If we don't want to be disrespected we should stop playing JV football.

Oh contraire, sir. Clemson played, arguably, the best team in America. They got killed, but it was the first game, and I think both teams have gotten better. Georgia, when they play their “A” game, is probably 10 points better than anyone in America, except, maybe, Crying Day’s merry band. I have no love for the little doggies, but they are the best. If Georgia is locked in this December and January, no one is beating them, and it won’t be close. But, like the said in the “Little Giants,” there is always that “one time.” That’s what I’m hoping for the Tigers the next few weeks. Go Tigers!

We deserve the disrespect. We lost to a 7-4 Louisville at home by multiple scores and got smoked by UGA. Barely escaped with a W against a backup qb at Pitt and Citadel just ran the effing down our throats at home. We have major issues.

We may squeeze it out this weekend but it looks VERY doubtful.
I'll be shocked if we win.
This hasn't been a good season. The quality of play on the field has been average at best.
All of the past concerns of the past 4 years are coming together on one perfect storm this Saturday.

I do think it will take one of our better games to get the job done. We've been very inconsistent and we cannot afford that on Saturday.

The tigers are playing great football this season, don't count them out yet. Our boys are playing for pride and it will be glorious tomorrow. Keep the faith and enjoy the game.

Have to earn respect and that's the way it should be

Like Dabo says, Diversity builds strength and it's how you respond. It's up to the players to respond, Dabo has given them everything they need to be successful.

He hasn't given them depth and that could come into play...
Really? How many scholarships is Clemson missing this year? I don’t always know what the running number is, but isn’t the level 85, currently? Is that right? Clemson missing that number when the year started? If so, was it a tremendous amount? I didn’t know Dabo hadn’t given out all the scholarships he could have the last few years. That’s interesting.

From the committee, no disrespect, but it does feel like everyone is picking SC to beat us. Our guys can fix that by proving them wrong

Our ranking doesn't reflect disrespect but

you'd better believe we will never be respected by the SEC. Possibly somewhat by the Big 10, but remains to be seen. In any case, those two conferences are about to become college football, if they haven't already.
Living in the heart of the SEC, I can tell you even the mid-level SEC teams absolutely feel they'd have been in the playoffs and managed to win a NC with our schedule from 2015 to 2020. Seeking or expecting their respect or that of their enablers is a waste of time.
Disrespect is one of the best things we have going for us, when it does occur.

No one quite lives in the land of delusion and make believe like the “mid-level” SEC teams (along with the “front runner” and bandwagon Clemson football fan, perhaps). They are national title winners every year, and the entire conference thinks they invented football. College ball has always been cyclical, and even in this wild west of new times, I still think it will be that case. Their little run of domination they have enjoyed since about 2006 has been rather unprecedented for them, certainly, at least, in the last 60-70 years of college football. When their little day does come to an end, it will be quite hilarious, and I will enjoy it immensely. They need to be humbled, tremendously, again.

In all honesty, how does a football school get respect playing teams in a basketball conference???

I don’t know. Maybe the same way Tennessee’s 20 years of mediocrity somehow got them “respect” by having virtue of playing in a conference that was also enjoying its most dominant period of national prominence, in its history, during that same time period? Maybe like that? Good luck against Candy this weekend.

Would have been a whole lot better playing candy teams over there. Wonder how many titles we would have had?
