Honest to God. There can't be another school anywhere that

manages to choke games like we do. It is in the three major sports and it is uncanny. Have we EVER won a one-run baseball game? Was there a single one of you that thought when we were up two runs with six outs to go that we were going to win that game. My thought was, it's Clemson time.
The numbers have to be unbelievable.

I hope to live long enough to one day see us execute a sacrifice bunt.

We need older and maturer players. I have played pony league playsers that looked older and stronger.

I told my wife this was going to happen...

It always does and as it was about the seventh inning I told her I should just turn it off becasue we will just get close enough to make it interesting, get my blood pressure up, give me a small glimmer of hope, and then it will all be torn away and we will lose like always.
I should have listened to myself and stopped watching then. I'm sure there is something better I could have been doing.
I never learn my lesson and they ALWAYS break my heart.

we can't have any mistakes period. Hitting was not bad compared to some of our games this season. Problem now is trying to win three straight including 2 against chickens. One game at a time.
Go Tigers!

I thought the same thing. And to watch that be pissed down their leg was heartbreaking, and every tiger fan, everywhere has a right to be absolutely pissed about it. I don't care where it was played and what the scenario is. When your pitching and defense was as good as ours was until that point (and the pitching was actually pretty good the entire time with a couple of hiccups) you should get those 6 outs and take it to the house. Instead, they got tight and they seem like they don't know what to do in that situation. Almost like another poster said, "they expect to win, and we looked like we hoped to win," and I think that is fact.

i knew, even with a one run lead going into the 9th, that we'd lose it. Leggett gets us really close, but more often than not will choke the game away some kind of way. I've been seeing it for years and Leggett is still the coach.
