About the Shipley/spiller blowup. Was wondering why he didn’t play anymore. That’s the last thing we need. Our o line isn’t good at run blocking for the (lost count) 10th year in a row? Surely we won’t attempt a fg next week. That situation is dire. I’m excited about d coming along though and some of these freshman are fun to watch. Maybe we will create a break or two Saturday.

We ran RPO for so long, it's conditioned the OL to play patty cake instead of pancaking the man in front of them.

This right here ^^^. We can’t establish the line of scrimmage two yards downfield because we stand up and dance and try to create angles to open a sliver for a RB to wiggle through. We pull guys and even then it’s just to hope to spilt open a slight crack. The goal line run Shipley got mad about the guy who made the tackle was double teamed and Shipley still managed to run into him and get taken down with one arm.

There seems to be no pride by our OL to just whip the guy in front of them. Too much dancing, and it shows. Fix the OL, and we’ll see how much better this team will become.
