Ricky Steamboat was an all-time great, cannot remember him being in tag team events. His matches with Flair are special, back in the day when a time limit of 1 hour was set for 1 match and sometimes with best out of 3 falls.
I do not watch wrestling today, but those 3 fall matches were awesome. Usually gave each team at least 1 fall to keep the crown engaged

Auditorium in the 80s and saw Ricky Steamboat and Jay Youngblood together a couple of times in a tag team match. Maybe they didn't do it much.
Rick Flair and Ricky Steamboat had some great battles in the late 80s, while Rick Flair and Wahoo McDaniel had some epic matches in the late 70s/early 80s. Didn't know until later that Wahoo McDaniel was of Choctaw/Chickasaw heritage.

I remember Ole Anderson, he was a bad hombre for sure.
He brought the old school to the 4 Horseman when he was in it to start. Eventually softened all the way up by adding Lex, just not a horseman at all. Loved Lex, just not a horseman

The Minnesota Wrecking Crew (Ole and Gene Anderson) was, at least in my opinion, the best tag team of all time. A close second would be the Legion of Doom (The Road Warriors) followed by the Heart Foundation, the Rock & Roll Express, and the Steiner brothers.

I should be able to think of one or two more of those guys, but I can't. I remember watching rasslin in the late 50s, but Gorgeous George had already retired by then. I think I just saw old films of him.

I loved the Rock N Roll Express and absolutely nobody cooler than the Road Warriors...I hated the 4 Horsemen then and still hate them now. I respect them for their greatness but if they wrestled today I would still pull against them.
On your list, its the Road Warriors for me.

Agreed, the 4 Horseman were either loved or loathed, no in between. At least you understand their place among the greatest alliances ever to exist in wrestling.
I also think Road Warriors were the best overall. The excitement, the "pop" when they invented as they would get the crowd crazy with Hawk screaming: OHHHHHH WHHHHHAAAATTTT AAAAAA RRRRRRRUUUUUUSSSSSSHHHHH
But I do concede to the fact that the Steiner Brothers were much better "wrestlers" in the traditional sense.

I haven’t read most of the other posts, but I can tell you without a doubt, NO ONE, and I mean NOBODY, would have a chance against the Steiners in a true match.
Hawk and Animal (both R.I.P.) were good for entertainment purposes when Hawk wasn’t on drugs and alcohol but were never actually wrestlers.
