Jimbos obscene buyout

His buyout is larger than the entire budget of 176 of the 231 FBS/FCS schools. That’s just a sickening amount of money to give someone for poor on field performance. How do these buyouts not have some sort of performance based scale attached? That amount of money to basically reward someone for a spectacular failure is just absurd

before the world realized he was actually a bad head coach. He used LSU as a bargaining chip and aTm is paying the price. Luckily, that university has all the money in the world.

A&M made their bed and now they have to lay in it. Everyone knew at the time they were jumping the gun and that no one was going after jumbo so there was no reason to lock him down. I don’t feel bad for them one bit. Those contracts are reserved for coaches who have proven themselves to be elite. Dumbo had one 2 great seasons at FSU but clearly set that program back with bad culture.

Bobby Bonilla’s agent probably retired after signing that deal, nowhere to go but down when you make a deal so good that there’s a sports holiday named after it!

Coaches are paid obscene money to start with so the payout is not surprising.

We're talking about Jimbo Fisher.
How difficult would it be to set him up and get him fired for cause? Or was that excluded from him contract as well?

As i said before everyone on tnet knew it was a bad hire and an obscene amount of money. They should have contacted our message board before hiring him. The only thing that lightens the buy out load is that the pay out is over about 5 years I read. A lump to begin with and then annual payments.

when they don't have to pay their players anything close to their fair market value.
