What an awesome match. Love it as Sinner is not particularly likable IMO

But otherwise his game is not super exciting and he has negative charisma. Which is tough to do for an Italian ( he is German Italian)

Totally disagree, his game is adaptable and fascinating. And I love that he

just goes out and plays tennis, doesn't need anything to get him going or keep him on track.

His game is like an amalgamation of the best parts of a power baseline game

That's why so many players can't challenge him. Even top 20 guys in the world, because they all have similar games to him, just at a lesser level. A guy like Andrey Rublev for instance has no chance vs Sinner despite being a top 10 player.
I called his game not as exciting because there's not as much variation in game styles as there used to be, and Sinner is certainly the mold of the modern baseline game.

But he can definitely change style, and strategy. He was much more aggressive

than normal today in returning, and was very thoughtful in trying to hit behind Carlos, to redirect shots, as that was his best shot to win.
Ironically, the thing that he was cruising with - his serve - was the one thing that let him down today. He adjusted out of his norms to win, then his best piece broke down. Tennis is so awesome in that way, and so diabolical.

I used to like him (sinner) until he was busted TWICE for doping, and he’s still allowed to play…

In all fairness both positive tests were from the same incident. It was also accepted that not only was it a mistake by his physio, but the amounts were so minimal it would not have benefitted him in any way.

That was an insane finals, watch the last three sets, Sinner had the momentum at teh end and Alcaraz destroyed him in the tie break

That was an amazing tennis match. I would not have given Alcaraz any chance of winning after the way Sinnar was playing.
