It’s starting to creep up on all of us as we get ready for another shot at a great season!
We have so much to be thankful for each moment of each day!
14.42 weeks until we have shot to shoot up the rankings, I’m sure the SEC curve will keep UGA ranked over us despite the whipping we give those dogs.
I just hope this team stays humble afterwards, it would real easy to get beat in week 2 after winning a big battle against rival who always gets the best recruiting & NIL players 💰💵💰$$

I've always told people that if you don't want to be a Clemson fan, then you better never spend any time there. Even my coot friends who have spent any time at Clemson love to go there as much as possible.

101 - Willie Underwood Returned Two Picks for 101 Yards - A Single Game Record

DB Willie Underwood (1977-1980) played 47 games for the Clemson Tigers. During those first 46 games he made 0 interceptions. In his 47th game he made two interceptions – and he definitely made those two interceptions count.
Those two interceptions sent the Gamechickens home with yet another painful loss.
In November 1980, the Chickens came to Clemson riding high. Chicken fans were convinced they would beat Clemson that season. The 8-2 Chickens were ranked #14 and enjoying one of the better seasons (it is still one of their better seasons) while Clemson had struggled to 5-5.
Having a winning season, (which is special in Columbia), they were convinced their program was ascending to great new heights.
Then they ran into Willie Underwood!
And the Gamechickens became the victims of Clemson’s first game with the “Orange Britches.” The Orange Britches have been part of Clemson football lore ever since!
According to ClemsonTigers.com:
“Defensive back Willie Underwood played 47 games for the Tigers, but never had an interception until his final contest. He made up for it in his last game as a Tiger when he had two thefts for a combined 101 yards in returns. His 37-yard interception return for a touchdown iced Clemson’s 27-6 victory. It is still the most interception return yards in a single game by a Tiger. Underwood also had 17 tackles in the game and was named National Defensive Player of the Week by Sports Illustrated.”

As for the Orange pants, the State explains Underwood’s role in introducing the Orange Britches into Clemson history:
“Jeff and I sat down with coach Ford, and he said, ‘I’ve got a surprise for you.’ He pulled out the orange uniforms and we were shocked,” Underwood said. “We said, ‘We’re actually going to wear those things?’ He said, ‘Yes, if ya’ll want to, we will.’ We both agreed on it, and it turned out to be one of the best things to ever happen to us.”

South Carolina Highway 101 is a 56.52 mile state highway that runs from the south end at US 76 in Hickory Tavern to the north end at SC 11 near Gowensville, passing through Gray Court, Woodruff, and Greer. SC 101 passes the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport and the BMW manufacturing plant in Greer.
 
BMW stands for some German words that translate to Bavarian Motor Works in English. BMW cars have been sold in the United States since 1956 and the first dealership opened in 1975 in Monterey, California. By 2016, BMW was the 12th highest selling brand in the U.S. BMWs have been manufactured in the U.S. since 1994 with the opening of the BMW Spartanburg manufacturing plant in Greer, South Carolina, the company's only assembly facility in the United States. The 11,500 acre plant started planning and construction in 1992 and in September of 1994, the first car, a 318i sedan, rolled off the assembly line. By 2019, the Greer plant had the highest production volume of the 30 BMW plants worldwide at about 1,500 vehicles per day. Now the site has 11,000 employees making X series SUVs and crossovers.

My uncle Virgil owned some of the land on both sided of I-85 and hwy 101. He sold it years before BMW was even thought of, but no he didn't get rich by any means.
