Bigger threat running? LMFAO. Tajh has a rocket launcher for an arm and runs about like I do. I wonder if this joker has even seen Tajh play....

Based on the stereotype for most black qbs. I bet they have never seen him play or looked at his stats. This article is pointless.

there are 6 QBs in the ACC that should be drafted higher than Boyd: Manual, Thomas, Morris, Glennon, Rettig, and Renner. and Renfree is only one slot below Boyd. what a steaming heap!

Many of the "experts" look at Tajh as a system QB. That probably has something to do with his low draft round.

For Tajh's FB future, Morris and Dabo should turn Tajh loose on everybody we play next season. Don't take him out against anybody. For the good of Tajh Boyd, turm him loose and let him prove that he is better than any QB in the acc. Dabo and Morris owe Tajh the chance next season to play his way in at least the second round.

What moron came up wit that assessment?
Dec 11, 2012, 11:45 AM
|
|
Boyd is much more of a passer than a runner and has a rifle of an arm. I think Boyd should stay another year, but whoever wrote that assessment has never watched Boyd or looked at his statistics. I guess this person thinks because Boyd is black that means he is a running QB

I don't understand why tiger fans get mad about him projecting 7th wouldn't think he'd leave after hearing that which is a good thing! Unless chad Kelley is really pushing the composition, I was wondering do you think Kelley could be like Johnny heisman? COULD?

Don't claim to be a professional, though I usually get as close as some of these #####.
from my standpoint... if Boyd came out now, I can see him being an early 4th rd. pick, late 3rd round if he can perform well for the scouts....another year could help that, especially if his passing percentage got around 70% of better. Then you could look at late 2nd to early 3rd round. I think his height is somewhat of a concern...whats he like 6'0"
they say 6-1?

About right. In last 6 yrs, NO sub-6'2" Jr QBs were drafted
Dec 11, 2012, 2:32 PM
|
|
There are a few rare sub-6'2" QBs that make it in the NFL, but (right or wrong) the NFL rarely DRAFTS them.
Over the last 6 years and 74 QBs drafted, only 4 QBs under 6’2" were drafted to play QB, and NONE of them were juniors. (Though 2 more senior QBs were drafted to play WR because they were too "short".) Those 4 QBs had outstanding careers: * 6'1" Colt McCoy, then the all-time-winningest college QB (3rd round). * 6’ Heisman winner, Troy Smith (5th round). * 6'1" Tyrod Taylor (6th round). * 5’11” Russell Wilson (3rd round).
I'm doubtful that Boyd would get drafted as a junior but I could see Boyd going as a late-round pick.
Clemson listed Kyle Parker as 6'1" but he shrank to 6'0" when MLB measured him. I suspect Boyd's height may be similarly falsified.
