per his request as he did not want to coach his son.
So not special teams coach unless Dabo eventually talks him into it.

He's quitting his job to take a full time position

Slapaho and UofSC were trying to have him paid as a part timer, while keeping his foundation and camps running, which is against the rules.ML wasn't ALL IN,didn't want to work Full Time for UofSC.

Could dabo be preparing for a coaching change in the future? Perhaps, a o.c. take a job somewhere or d.c.? Just thinking of the reason for the sudden in flux of coaching. Our $$taff did well last year, and I don't think we will need 3 more coaches to beat the pants off of ala. This year!

I think Dabo is always thinking of ways to get better. I don't see Venables leaving for quote some time. I would love to see this staff stay closely knit for as long as possible. We have great coaches in place and the players we have here now, coming in June, and eventually in 2017 as our staff continues recruiting to put together what will be seen as the best run Clemson has ever had.

Marcus Lattimore's Foundation fosters young men.....This is just another high school coach; something that happens a lot. And before you jump on the other two former high school coaches that Dabo has hired on, they, just like this coach, have left their positions at the school. Lattimore would have to be relieved of his duties of his Foundation. See how this is different? If not, go pray about it. Oh wait....

Probably will be in same line as the 2 recent hires. Will do lots of film, but probably no on field coaching duties. Clemson Football Coaching Staff is full and cannot add another Coach for on field duties per NCAA rules. Don't know if he qualifies for graduate assistant since he has not completed his degree. But, Glad to see him back "Home" at Clemson! GO TIGERS !!!

I was wondering if the fact that he is coming back to finish his degree allows for him to be a coach on the field. I am curious to hear what his role will be exactly.

Welcome back to Clemson Mr. Spiers!
The line struck me as odd that he doesn't know his position yet. Maybe they mean he doesn't know his title? It's so great in Tiger Town maybe you don't even need to know your job responsibilities to go "ALL IN."
Plus, with his daughter being a senior at Clemson, I wonder if she's thinking geez dad, this could put a crimp in my social life with us both attending the same college. Can you imagine if they shared the same class. He he.

WRT getting his degree same time as children in school: Matters not when you do it...it's what you do that's important. Dabo continues to amaze. Great hire. Welcome home!
