I would assume because the other guys have been on staff longer than Spiller and have more coaching experience than Spiller.
If you will remember just a few short months ago many on this board had a fit because He hired Spiller at all much less what He was paid.
All that being said if Spiller continues doing a great job like He did last year his stock and salary will rise quickly!

That makes sense. Hope Spiller continues to grow. I think he has potential to be huge for us for years to come. Thankful for all our staff.

I think Dabo brought him on thinking Jeff and Tony would leave earlier then they did. Kinda a testament to Dabo/program that he stayed in that role as long as he did. Can almost guarantee he had offers for on field positions at other programs.

Is this a serious question? Richardson has been on staff since 2016 and Grisham has been on staff a year longer than CJ. Grish is also the recruiting coordinator and makes the same money as Spiller.

What does he have to prove? Clemson set the school record for passing yards per game his first year coaching receivers. He has one record setting year and a crappy year where the QB couldn't hit the broad side of a barn on his resume.
