Hopefully Clemson is right behind them, but I wouldn't be surprised if we don't make an announcement until summer, along with UNC and whoever else is on board.

I'll see if I can find any more info out of it. All I know right now is it is a special called meeting. Lots of speculation. Lots of hoping that FSU will vote to leave the ACC. I wish they have figured out a way to do so. I wish they would say that they are leaving the ACC and as soon as they do they will announce which conference they will enter. But, I don't expect that to happen. I expect it will be something far more cryptic than that.
If I find out anything more, I'll let you know.

Ira Schoeffel, who is the managing editor for warchant.com, the largest independent website for FSU, posted this:

Ira is not a "click bait" guy. He's roughly the equivalent of David Hood on T-net. He's a responsible journalist. He was the sports editor of the Tallahassee Democrat for years before joining warchant.com full time.
Now, the rest is reasonable speculation from others. It is very unlikely there will be any bombshell announcement tomorrow. What is more likely is that one, or both, of the following two things will be announced.
1. FSU is partnering with a Private Equity Fund. (The purpose of this would be to use the PIF as a way to pay the costs of leaving the ACC.)
2. Announce they are beginning the process to take legal action to break away from the GOR.
The meeting will be live streamed. I would love for them to say, "Adios, ACC. We're outta here." But, I am not expecting that. I expect it will be more cryptic. Just doing due diligence and laying more groundwork for the eventual departure.

It would be awesome if they formally approved the vote then did one of those locker room Harlen shake videos. For one day, I would relent in my dislike for FSU.
