About "storming the field." You could hear laughter in Fowler's voice

I think the Gameday crew is alwaze Clemson-friendly. Corso not so much, but I don’t recall him ever saying anything worth recalling, so no prob there.

Herbstreit was serious. If he was joking, he has a poor comedic delivery. Seemed genuinely surprised.

I think they were having a laugh at calling it "gathering at the Paw". The has always sounded a little corny to me too. They said it's "meeting at the center" or something similar. Whatever anyone wants to call it jumping over stadium walls and running like mad people is rushing the field. It is what it is.

Respectfully disagree. Rushing the field happens when it is not supposed to be allowed and security is trying to stop it. The gathering at the paw is a tradition with a name that is allowed and expected to happen. And it is a wonderful thing.

Spot on here Rhett on the difference between the two. And that is absolutely a difference in this day and age. This isn’t some lawless jailbreak by drunk and overzealous fans. It’s something that thankfully the University still allows, every home game. Kids who still get to go down and get players’ autographs, in 2022, how cool is that?! Testament to how special of a place Clemson is.
This is what bothered me the most about their (attempt at a) joke. It’s like they were trying to subtly make fun of it to anyone who didn’t know Clemson and take a shot at anyone who did. Their joke reminded me of Lebron and DWade sniffling at Dirk being sick. It was only funny to those two guys.
When people ask why do Clemson fans dislike ESPN, it’s this kind of crap that makes it hard to like them. It was a stupid attempt at a joke for something that’s pretty cool. Find some better material Herbie & Fowler. The McAfee heel bit is getting to your heads.

Happens after every win which I appreciated. Which is probably why there is no discussion of it by the national media today

Am glad the National Media is at Clemson for every game helping to display my university. We could be ignored like our “sister” school in Columbia. Clemson is now recognized from coast to coast and everything is a positive!
When I was a student many people thought Clemson was in Georgia. They know now —- thanks to:our relationships with the press and other media. You can’t buy what we are being gives. Thanks Dabo.

I guess it has been a while since we had a Top 10 win at home so it was good to see the fun the kids had.

Bozo and without tv makeup Cgris looks very rough. The other day he said it may be their last time at Oh St as the contract is up after 22. I'd love to see some fresh college fb coverage. ESPn's schtick has gotten old

Reminds of the time my uncle, and avid deer hunter, was asked, "What's the difference between harvesting a deer and blowing his brains out?"
My uncle said, "When you blow his brains out, you get venison, but you can't take him to the taxidermist."

Herbie is a parent of a player. Two players for a couple of years when the other son was here. Look at the bus ride and run down the hill ESPN did for us. Herbie looks out for us. Few of us can say we have a son playing on the team currently.
