But theoretically they shouldn't right?
The #3 team losing to the #1 team doesn't mean the #5 or #6 team is better than the #3 team.
That's why these rankings are ridiculous.
Imagine if these top teams had to actually play each other on the field during the regular season so we could actually see who's better.

It's entirely possible Clemson could be one of only two undefeated teams if they win out. Winner of the Tenn/Georgia game next week loses to Bama or LsU in the SEC title game and they all have at least 1 loss. Loser of Ohio State/Michigan also at least one loss. No way TCU wins out. Only question is does committee put undefeated ACC champion in ahead of one other undefeated conference (Big Ten) champion and potentially three SEC 1-loss teams. Go Tigers...win out!!
