Clemson coach Dabo Swinney said on his call-in show that junior safety Lannden Zanders is out for the season with a shoulder injury. Zanders was injured during the Georgia game Saturday and only played five snaps. He had surgery on the offseason on the same shoulder after missing time last year. "He Read Update » |

Dude shut up. The kid is good enough for a scholarship and gets hurt doing what he loves. Have some respect or keep your opinions to yourself.

What someone like you will never understand is Clemson is a family. It’s not like the NFL where players are bought and sold like livestock. The family cares about every member irregardless of your opinion. He would not have been out there were he not the best choice at the time. These are kids. They have feelings, hopes, dreams and work very hard to be their best. They deserve better than to be regarded as computer parts which you consider need replacement. Clemson has been, is and always will be a special place. Not because of football The spirit was here when we lived through some horrendous gridiron times. For actual and real Clemson fans, it remains and grows. You say something bad about one of our players-not things like someone made a bad play etc-but something which diminishes them-their worth-their importance then as you see, you will be met with a pack of fans who will gladly tear you a new one.

That’s a crappy attitude, even if “just” on an anonymous message board. Losing Zanders is a huge hit to the secondary depth and he is/was a projected starter for the next two years.
Yes, Makuba looks decent and I expect Mickens will get into the mix next year, but let’s not be the type of fan base that just says “meh” when a player who clearly was laying it all out in the game gets seriously injured.
We’re pulling for you LZ!

I’m glad you could put down the chips and PlayStation controller long enough to write something so idiotic. I’m sure you could do better.
He is a great player and you’ve got a lot of maturing to do.

In a recent interview he mentioned playing after an injury and saying that he couldn’t have it on his mind. Hate that he tried so hard to get well, then play without it on his mind, and then get hurt again.

Prayers for Lannden. Young man played through pain last year. He could have cashed it in but just wanted to play and help his brothers. Keep the faith little fella. God got You. Use the adversity to come back better.
Been a ?? tty 2 years. Maybe the Good Lord tryna telling us 2 get right.

Praying for a successful recovery. There are 2 positives here...he gets an additional year of education and possibly a shot at a future master's degree and second he gets world class treatment on his body. If anything it's also a chance at getting bigger and stronger.
