WOW. He spoke to our CU club tonight. History tells us the man can coach. But he is a perfect fit personality/ philosophy wise for CU. High, high intensity but think “controlled” aggression.

pretty much his life story of battling his way from obscure high school coach to D3 asst to D1 asst to D1 coord to HC. All the moves he made with his family and how the chance to get them all close by (his son is on CU staff and has daughters in G'ville and charlotte) was important in taking this job. He took this job without ever being on campus. He's met with every defensive player and watched every snap from last year. Very obvious his faith is important to him, actually thanked the group for praying to open the meeting.. "that doesn't happen at a lot of places." Spoke a lot about accountability. Loves Boulware, had actually recruited him out of high school. He gave an example of a defensive call and how about 3 words can tell everyone on the D what to do/where to be. Doesn't have to be complicated. Been to a lot of these "coach speaking" meetings over the years. He had to be in the top 3-5 of being impressive.

You scared me. When I saw 3-5, I thought he was talking about a three down linemen defense! LoL!
