Headed to Syracuse

Anybody have any recommendations for a cool spot to eat and hang out in Syracuse (on/near campus)?

On campus - faegan’s is solid. Varsity pizza (has a great selection of sandwiches and what not at the back counter).

Downtown - (2 miles from campus)

Pastabilities (great pasta and fresh made bread)

Blue tusk

Modern Malt

Dinosaur BBQ (most popular)

Apizza Regionale (is there such thing as high end pizza? If so this is it. Excellent wood fired pizzas. Located across from Dino BBQ so if you go there and want to look at both menus and pick not a bad idea)

Press room pub (solid pub food with a classy downtown feel inside and plenty of off street parking. Some decent size TVs here that show games also.)

The hops spot (craft beer place that specializes in poutine, I haven’t had the poutine so I have no idea if it’s as good as it should be being this close to Canada)

Kitty hoynes (authentic Irish bar with good food)

Empire brew pub (good burgers and other pub food and they brew their own beer)

Shaunessey’s Irish bar (situated in the hotel Syracuse which has just been renovated. Great classy bar with screens for the games)
