regional championship game. Pathetic support for O-Sullivan's team. Come to Clemson Sully, even on a Monday afternoon I bet DKS would be packed for a regional take all game.

That would be great, but everybody needs to realize he’s not coming back after how Coach Leggett has been treated. And can’t say that I blame him.

well if you can’t blame him who can?
I’d be shocked if Neff is able to fill the position the way he made DRAD fire Leggett and on top of that he made Leggett come to games after he was fired and Monte would throw popcorn up at him.
Doubt O’Sullivan would even bring his team here to play in a regional

I get so tired of hearing Jack got treated unfairly. That is absolute BS!
I sat down once and ran the numbers. I did a three-year rolling average for Jack starting with seasons 123, 234, 345, etc. etc. etc. and shockingly his best three years in terms of average W/L record was his first three years with Bill Willam’s talent. Under Jack there was a steady decline in the program following his first 3 years.
Yes, he put together a great team in 2006 and 2010. He then proceeded to go 0 for Omaha against the gamecocks. Khalil Green had more errors in the two games against South Carolina than he had the entire season.
Jack Leggett was always wound tighter than a tick. He almost always had a scowl on his face and had no idea how to allow the kids to have fun playing baseball. He was the anti-Dabo. He kept them wound up and tense, Which is the exact opposite of what you need to be a good baseball team in a championship tournament. In contrast, Tanner always had South Carolina loose as a goose and having fun.
Last week someone posted the David Hood article from 2014 that chronicled how the program had basically started falling apart after the 2010 season. And it continue to go downhill from there.
Clemson has a history of being overly good and kind to coaches. We are very slow to pull the trigger and fire a coach. That has been true with few exceptions. They sat Jack down and told him exactly what he needed to do for at least two or three years. Bottom line, Jack didn’t deliver.
We’re talking big time college sports. It’s a business. Jack didn’t build that program, Bill Willhelm did. But Jack let it go to hell and unfortunately despite looking like a great hire, Monte failed miserably.
So I challenge anyone to explain to me how we treated Jack Leggett unfairly. Go look at the numbers for yourself. Run the numbers like I did. Look at The program Jack inherited and look at where it was the day he got fired. Look at the collapse of the 2006 and 2010 teams in Omaha and where the program went after that!
Jack was treated very fairly and given ample opportunity to turn the program around. They sat him down and gave him very clear expectations and gave him two or three years to improve things. That’s a lot more than what most programs would do.

He would probably be leaving more than $1 million.

I read here that he makes $2 million a year at Florida. We paid Monte about $500,000 a year here.
So unless we are willing to double the salary we pay our baseball coach, O'Sullivan would be leaving more than $1 million on the table.
And as you mentioned, he would also be paying state income tax.
Even if Clemson matched what he's making at Florida - which we won't and shouldn't - I don't see him leaving there to come here. Our program isn't as good as theirs. He has everything he needs there. Wanting him here is just wishful thinking and not grounded in reality.

People said the same thing about Spurrier to uof7c...

and they would have been right until the former Chairman of Augusta National, a uof7c alum, threw in a membership to Augusta National.
The point is, he might not be willing to make the change but you won't know unless you ask.
