Jordan Williams talks Cookout, says he's "still open" heading into decision date

Jordan Williams has a lot to think about, especially after a three-day visit to Clemson for the All In Cookout. What does he say about the visit? Is he still sure about the school he wants to attend? Who did he meet at the Cookout? Full Story »

So basically us or VTech. Hopefully it's more than a flip of a coin. And cheers to Lawson for making it down and being the guy that he is. Sounds like he left a profound impact on this young man.

If I were a kid looking at a school , and offered a full ride I would take the most allowed visits I could take .
Unless Clemson offered ...and then I'd just pick Clemson .

From his interviews a week or two ago he said this visit was only because he Had already committed to visiting and didn't want to break his word with the coaches. Said he had his mind made up. proves now that was Virginia Tech. in the game could be interesting

Number of times I've read this morning you "projecting" we lose. (Or have already lost) both Williams and Lawrence....guess we should just stop recruiting until your crystal ball gives us a orange thumbs up? You must be right but.....it's negative.

Not sure how my comment came across as predicting we lose out on JW... as I said and Williams confirmed in the interview, he thought he had his mind made up weeks ago and was going on this visit because he previously committed to do so... After the visit it sounds like we may have sway'd him to reconsider and are now in the game- when previously it's now clear he was setting up to commit to VaTech. Actually if pressed I would think we now land Williams based off the statement that his family loved it.

Everyone on here is just giving their 2 cents based of the information we've heard. Best guesses.

Lastly, I think we are #2 on TLAW only because 50/50 races typically go to the home team.

Isn't he the much rumored about SILENT commit

nice to see us have a shot at better players in the Tidewater area. It is a big hot bed of football talent

Jordan Williams

Will make a great player and man for one of these programs!

I think that if it's down to VT and is it will be a nervous 12 days for VT

Both are beautiful campuses but Clemson has a decided advantage in everything but proximity to home. I'm sure Fuente is sweating

Here's hoping he's a tiger!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Sounds like he knows Clemson is the right fit. BUT VaT & UVA

Jul 25, 2016, 5:02 PM

have home field advantage. Hope Williams makes the best decision for him. Good luck young man!
