is taking notes here on how to throw the ball down the field and use the middle of the field. This game is a clinic. Toss Chad’s playbook.

Depends on the receivers available

This year is not fair to judge. Too many top receivers out this year.

of the plays. If anything with who we had out it made no sense to run down and out 50/50 balls like we did.

Those 50/50 balls are on the QB...

And there are other routes, the QB has to look for them and not stare down one WR,

Problem is we have never had a receiver like Smith and don't have anyone that can run by the defense. We need a game breaker.

These play calls would have had Amari dominating ACC secondaries.

Bingo. With Sark calling plays for us we would rarely go on those long offensive droughts we go on all the time against crap teams.

Justyn Ross would have been that guy for us this year.

Smith is rare, but I think Ngata and Ross would have opened up a lot of things - to include ETN

His defense gave up 639 yds of offense and 49 points to a team that struggled to score on Northwestern

I think we will witness the best pure passing QB to ever come through Clemson in DJU. That is saying a lot

But yes, I agree with you. There is no reason we couldn’t (and shouldn’t) have done more of that this year. People can complain all they want about the offensive line not playing as well, or having some injuries at wide receiver. But we absolutely had enough talent this year to do this, especially with Trevor freaking Lawrence as our quarterback.
