Nation's No. 1 center says he feels at home in Clemson

Clay Webb is the number one center in the country and he’s had a busy six weeks. Before arriving in Texas for The Opening, Webb competed in the Rivals 5-star Challenge and took visits to Alabama, Clemson, Georgia and LSU. Full Story »

Definitely need to get this fella in for an official. On his bio it stated he was at Dabo’s camp last year as well. Hopefully he can make it up to the AIC. Sounds like Clemson material!!!

Would be a huge steal from Alabama at a position of need as well... I’m not hopeful but he’s been on campus which means we have a chance.

I really want to land Webb he has been one of the recruits this cycle I have had on the wish list for awhile now. We def have a good shot, just got to get him back to clemson on an official visit. Can’t rememeber the last time clemson landed a big time center prospect. This kid is a stud and also be another huge get out of the state of Alabama. I think once the season starts and these recruits see us prob making another title appearance, they will start to roll in. We have some big fish to fry and the oil is heating up time to catch these big boys!! Go Tigers!!!!

Agree! If we have another great season it will tip many of these undecideds toward us.

DW4 is underappreciated. In addition to that, ESPN had him as #1 at his position. I certainly wouldn't have had it any other way.

I would feel a lot better about our chances with this kid if he wasn't from the state of Alabama. Gonna be hard to pull him out of there. But if anyone can do it, Dabo can.

From reading what Webb says about Clemson he likes what he see's there, but I really don't think that Clemson is where he wants to play college FB, it seems that he is more interested in the talking about college FB with the likes of the media. I'm probably far off, but that is what I feel, and yes I got that by reading what he says and how he goes about saying it.

He's not ready to name any leaders, he's not sure if he will make it back to the all in cookout, and he will have to check his schedule, for me, this kid don't seem to be all that into Clemson. I hope that I am wrong and we can actually get him to play for our Tigers!!!

I'd love to pull every top player out of Alabama and out of the SEC.
