Hats off to Pitt.

First of all, for scheduling three of their four OOC games against what are currently the #3, #8 and #15 teams in the country (yes I know ND is a contracted game). That is fearless scheduling, even if the results weren’t what you’d hope for (but sooo close vs ND!)
And second, for winning the Coastal. They haven’t had a ton of glory lately but they’ve put a program together that beat recent powerhouses like VT and Miami and fake universities like UNC (just in the standings, I know they lost this game).
Well done on both fronts, Panthers. Looking forward to the match-up. Hoping I’ll get to see our first EVER win against Pitt this year!

Impressive strength of schedule with Clemson, Notre Dame and UCF all undefeated (plus Penn State also ranked).
Someone remind me how they lost to UNC?!?

I wonder if they will have a similar game plan as in 2016. They had a lot of presnap motion, and ran the shovel pass a good bit. It seemed to confuse our defense a little bit. I don’t think we will have any problems scoring on them, but it does concern me a little bit. I am sure Venables will have them prepared.

That OC is long gone

Matt Canada is now OC and interim HC at Maryland. It's actually his 4th OC job in 4 years. He was at NC State in 2015, Pitt in 16, LSU in 17, and now Maryland.

I am sure Narduzzi had a lot to do with the play calling that game though.

Of course they don’t have James Conner either. He was one tough dude.

Matt Canada and his game plan beat us, not Pat Narduzzi.

Game will be a measuring stick for UCF

After the 45-14 Central Fla put on Pitt, some pollsters and most UCF fans will rightly or wrongly use that game as a barometer of Clemson's skill sets, and UCF's competence to be rated in top 4.
