You all need to get over the having to have gone there, had family go there, or from there thing. Who cares who someone cheers for in any sport as long as they stick with them and don't jump ship when things go bad. I do have a hard time with people talking smack about a college football team if they didn't go there though. I am a die hard miami hurricanes fan but because I did not go there, you will never hear me talk smack. I will talk smack about clemson though : ) In all honesty, is this a southern thing? I am from PA and no one ever cared who someone cheered for just if they were loyal.

Really, it's mainly those top 4. I'm pretty indifferent towards pretty much any team that is not Clemson or the Washington Redskins.

1. South Carowhina (I know the original poster said other than than the coots, but I had to put them first).
2. Notre Dame (America's team... My ###!)
3. UGA (some of the most obnoxious fans in the USA, right behind coot fans)
4. Ohio State (Woody Hayes... Enough said)
5. Bama (the only time I root for them is when they play the hated coots)

Understanding, of course, that the Capons occupy their own personal realm of loathing. My list isn't based on the fact that some teams (VTech and FSU come to mind) have beaten us in crucial games. I salute an opponent worthy of competition.
No, these are the teams I despise based on who they are, not what they do....
1. UNC: From the smugness and self-righteousness of their fans to the absolute hypocrisy of knowing their teams were cheating and still pretending to be sooooooo sanctimonious to every conceivable advantage being given them by our conference overlords, there are simply no schools above them.
2. UGa: It's difficult for the younger sons of Clemson to grasp the vileness of Dog-dom. Trust me when I say if you take the assinine values of NC State and Maryland (as well as the color) and throw in the cheating quotient of UNC, you've got Jaw-Jaw.
3. The BB Heads: A blot on all that is enjoyable in college football. They claim advantages that no one else would dare because they are Notre Dame....and no other reason. They are eternally taking laurels and accolades from the more worthy and feel they are entitled to do so.
4. Maryland: I delight in the train wreck that the Terps have become, mainly because their fate is so richly deserved. NEVER, not even at JawJaw, have I seen visiting fans so wretchedly received. Their fans earn this spot on their own demerit.
5. Paul Finebaum: OK, so he isn't a team. But he's a lightning rod that attracts the worst of the flotsam of the SEC, ruining my drive home with their drivel instead of intelligent discussion of college football.
