And a quirky scheme that is much like the triple option. Also, the PIs in that game were a pain (both legitimate and bs ones). Those were also against freshman dbs that are now not…
We will go press man against ND and flood the box with pressure. It will overwhelm them.

The WF Oline was full of 5th yr seniors and the best WR Corp in the ACC...with an unusual "mesh Scheme". Yet we still beat you.
Sam has gotten throttled 2 to 3 times this first half by Navy!!! If I'm Notre Lame I'm a bit worried about my O line, to date.

The secondary will be fine. The concerning thing out of the ND game was how they ran the ball right at us. It was the first time in many of games the D line got pushed around.

Wouldn’t Sam Hartman have to be on the field in order to dive and slice us ?
Let’s face it, last season every team we faced played with house money against us. Their offenses were going t be back out there in short order getting opportunity after opportunity simply because OUR offense couldn’t stay on the field with DJU failing to complete 3rd down passes.
That will not happen this year. When other teams’ offenses are on the field they’d better make every possession productive because you know ours will. You won’t be getting extra at-bats against our defense like the last two seasons.

Fact is the stats say we had good time of possession but that’s because of running the ball more and slowing down between plays. We did leave time and points on the board last year and that makes a difference.
Specifically the ND game involved a blocked punt TD, an interception inside our 10, and a pick 6 where we were likely getting points. And for those that weren’t there, it was cold and windy af.
Oh look, we lost by 21…

It was miserable to be there. The weather and the game sucked. And I drove down from MN. Honestly left unimpressed with South Bend and ND as a whole.
