Fixing our visible problems, will only cause our invisible problems to become visible.

Classic democracy problem at the end of the day. We lament on the debt, but we vote for whoever spends the most on us. We lament on the trade deficit, but we enjoy low priced imports, especially in technology. We lament on illegal immigration, as we buy cheaper, bigger houses they build, and then they clean them for us cheaper than Americans. They also provide us with cheaper food. But then we recoil at inflation.

You can't get drunk without a hangover, eventually. Sure, you can just wake up and bake up, but you're just pushing the hangover down the line, and it will be worse the longer you put it off.
