Yes. I had it in late Dec and had dizziness when I stood up which could be like vertigo and mental fog. My wife tells me that I always had mental fog but I digress.

Just getting over it now. Not so much dizziness. Definitely loss of smell and taste. Tired too.

I had the first round of Covid back in February of 2021. Vertigo was probably my worst side-effect. It was bad enough that I didn't drive. After coming home one day with my wife behind the wheel, I got out of the car and fell straight to the ground. Fractured T-11 and 12 in my back. Odd thing is, I don't even remember getting out of the car. Now alcohol or medication involved. Be careful with vertigo.

Dang. So sorry to hear that. Hope you have healed up from the fractures.
I had it early too but didn't have vertigo that time. Had everything else you can imagine though.

Not with Covid. I had Vertigo several years ago. It kicked my tail for a day. Hope it never comes back! I feel your pain.

I’ve had true vertigo but none with Covid but did have some dizziness, however, I did notice I was having significant trouble hearing. I’m sure it was the heavy head congestion but it was really noticeable. Did not lose taste or smell though.

Vertigo's bad stuff, if you have a severe case. Better get to a PT that's specialized in it, that's what I had to do. It worked and got me out of the woods. Or I would have been debilitated by it, unable to work.

Several exercises you can do to address vertigo which are successful for many people. Google exercises for vertigo. Works for me.

Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll have to try those out. I did find a crazy hack to try if anyone has lost their taste and smell. It worked on me!

I am 34 and had almost debilitating vertigo for three weeks after the second dose of the vaccine. I was unable to drive, unable to sit in a rolling desk chair. It went away after exactly three weeks.
Four and a half months later, I caught COVID and had no symptoms aside from body aches and winded easier than normal for two days.
It’s been two weeks since my symptoms faded, but having some trouble hearing. I have also got this strange lump in my throat that comes and goes. Had chest pain for about an hour originally and was worried, but also had gurgling in my throat. Never had any issues with acid before, but I assume it is acid because I can hear/feel the gurgling when I change positions. The lump happens with bad posture, I think. Hoping it goes away without going to the doctor.
Vertigo was very scary for me because I have always been healthy. I began having panic attacks.

Is it a true physical lump or is it a condition called globulus where it feels like something is obstructing your throat and preventing you from swallowing? The first time that I thought that I had Covid in Mar 2020 (keep in mind that test were not readily available at that time) I had this condition and it created panic for me. I had x rays and nothing was lodged but it’s a condition of maybe snoring or coughing so much that it your mind is telling you something is stuck in your throat. It feels like some mass is there when you swallow. Also, I urge everyone to take 50 mg of zinc daily with 3-4000 IU of D and C. I only lost my taste and smell for 48 hrs after I started loading up on zinc and actually doubled the intake.

I have suffered off and on with vertigo for years. Mine is an inner ear problem. But vertigo can be caused by dehydration so drink lots of fluids daily.
Also, anxiety can cause vertigo. You can try meditation techniques or your physician can prescribe something to help calm you.
Good luck!

Follow those recommendations on zinc, Vit D and C. It’s been studied extensively for respiratory virus support including Covid-19. Vitamin D deficiency is the other major pandemic all around the world.

My father had Menier’s starting in his late 50’s. He finally found a specialist who got it under control with diet. Apparently salt intake has to be closely controlled.

Yes. I have bouts with it that come and go for several days especially during allergy season or sinus infections. It gives me terrible nausea afterward too. Sipping on Ginger ale and water helps me.
Sleeping on on my right side with head elevated on several pillows is only way I can sleep during these events. I have learned not to jump straight up quickly but slowly and sit on the side of the bed for a minute when getting up.
