Had Coot go bananas yesterday when i stated Bentley was not a great QB

but could be a pretty good one..but he had only won about 4 regular season games & had a bowl loss.
The guy's hairs on his back stood out & he puffed up his shirtless chest to tell me Bentley was only 16-17 years old (which i laughed at & told him Tigernet made fun of that fact since about every other recruit is starting at that age too)..
and on the 4 wins he brought up that Bentley didn't start but in 4-5 games and that the bowl loss was close..
and something brought up the 5-Peat they had on us but i let it go since i knew he didn't need to be hurt even more by knowing that Clemson had 5-peats, 6-peats & a 7-peat.
These people are so dumb even though rabid as a fan base while the gene pool sadly runs deep & broad.

Bill the coot doesn't know what he's talking about, which is not unusual for that crowd. I heard Corncoot say on his show last year that Bentley had his 19th birthday around the start of FB season last year. Apparently it took him a little extra time to get out of HS for whatever reason.

Yeah he definitely reclassified somewhere at some point. He was "supposed to be in high school" all last season but he's actually older than McIlwain if I remember correctly, and McIlwain graduated on time. He's going to be 20 at the start of the 2017 season, so I don't want to hear anything else about how young he is.

The USUC sub QB (McElwain) lead USUC to score more points against CLEMSON than Bentley has (which is ZERO). The sub only played sparingly and still was more effective than Bentley. Their best QB transferred since daddy was going to ensure that little Bentley would be the USUC QB regardless of how ineffective he was.

His daddy pulled him out of the game or he just refused to go back in after the tiger defense b*tch slapped his carcass all over the field. And I have to say, the 2 guys they lose, Nunez and McIllwain looked to me like they were batter QB's...but like another poster said, I doubt even guys like Montana or Tebow would get a second look from a coach who has his son in place at QB for 3 more years....

I hear that crap all the time about Spurrier years. Wow, that's all they've got. Really something considering they "seem" to be all for Muschamp. I believe it's a fan base divided, a team divided and a program divided. We break the record this year for most rivalry wins.

There are two stories about Bentley's going to the sidelines after every play in last year's game against the Tigers. The preferred one by Gamecock fans, "he wanted to be sure he got the correct play call without it being stolen by the Tigers". The second reason, "he had already suffered enough and wanted to come out of the game but the staff told him to go back out there".

Bentley wasn't 16 or 17... try 19

His Bday is in late Nov... They kept touting the BS about him skipping his senior year to come play, but he was actually a little old to be a Frosh (I started when I was 17). So he had another year of 'maturity' to help with his decision making.

No sense in trying to tell coot fans that they are going to suck or Bently isn't crap. At work last year a guy got so mad bc they had the carolina umass game on tv and I couldn't stop laughing every time I looked at the screen umass scores or was driving and it was a very close game! When a carolina fan started to get mad he came to me and was like idk what your laughing at clemson could barely beat nc st, and carolina is going to beat the crap out of clemson. Week after the carolina clemson game, he wouldn't talk or look at me i got on the loud speaker said we got a problem up here seems there is 56 pages when their only suppose to be 7 and he forreal almost quit went outside and never talked to me again bc i left not too long after but he wouldn't put money on the carolina kicking clemson A$$ that's when you know they just talk. Ask them to bet on it and put money where mouth is and they all back out then and say I don't have to bet blah blah blah. My favorite way to shut them up is tell em I put my money where my mouth is if you can't don't wanna hear it!!

They'll always say TN because Dobbs. Never mind the fact that their total defense ended ranked #95.

Remind the guy that Bentley was held back a couple times (either for grades, or for athletic purposes) and that we all know by Jakes comments that he should still be in high school. Just because the kid was too dumb to stay in his own grade for the majority of his schooling years doesn't warrant a medal.
Fun fact, Dexter Lawrence was born at almost the same time Bentley was.

Wil be a solid QB that goes 3rd/4th round.
Just a gut feeling based on watching one game where Clemson was kicking his ####.
Just a feeling.

The coot fan base is just like millenials, very difficult for them to deal with reality.
